French Ormolu traditional classic table lamps, marble lamps, lapis lamps, malachite lamps, 24 carat gold plated bronze lamps with hand sewn silk lampshades.

These fabulous lamps are ideal for 5 star hotel lamps and every million dollar home should have expensive lamps.

Thomas Blakemore was established in 1847 in Staffordshire, England. A foundry manufacturing home decorative accessories in brass – candlesticks, candelabra, wall sconces, fireside equipment, bookends, globes, gentlemen’s gifts and library accessories etc.

The company moved to India in 2004 to manufacture lost wax investment castings, perfect definition bronze castings, produced in the same method used by the French craftsmen in 1750 to produce custom made lamps in French Ormolu designs.

The company employs 70 people managed by English Staff. Our staff has been trained in France by craftsmen, skills passed down for generations – classical designer lamps.

Foundry Department:

The latest German pressure casting technology, casting in bronze and silver. Lost wax investment casting – perfect highly detailed castings. Each casting is hand polished and hand chased, chiselled then hand burnished – ‘Chiselage’

The castings are then 24 carat gold plated to imitate mercury gilding of the 18th century – now illegal.

Marble & Semi-precious Stones Department:

Our Buyer selects the marbles and semi-precious stones from the finest caves in the world.

In addition to marble we have sodalite, rock crystal, pink quartz, howlite, tigereye, lapis and malachite.

Turning Department:

Block cutting and carving. Lapis and Malachite are applied as a veneer or cut from solid. Semi-precious stones are not always available.

Malachite furniture available on request.

Lampshade Department:

All the lampshades are produced in our own factory, hand sewn Indian wild silks and French and English manufactured trims. The finials – there is a choice of gold plated bronze, hand polished hand cut amethyst and gold base and hand cut and hand polished natural rock crystal finials.

Design Studio Bespoke Custom made Items:

We have CAD Functionality – to accept electronic imaging to produce a 3 dimensional pattern.

Wax Carvers and Sculpture and Artist:

We can work from a clear photograph to produce three dimensional patterns – A unique facility in the world for designers.

The table lamps are supplied with braided flex and with electrical parts for Europe, UK, USA and Japan.

All products are produced in the same factory to guarantee quality control. Our quality control manager inspects each sub-component and total product.

The factory is located 50 miles from our office and headquarters in Jaipur, India.

Our Marketing Department is based at the headquarters, our customer service department is available 5 days a week.

Samples can be shipped by UPS from Jaipur to arrive in Europe in 3 days and USA in 5 days.
